As a child she fell sick and was in the hospital after being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. His career as a skater alongside Denis Samokhin that made him well-known. Together, they participated in two Junior World Championships and placed 7th both in 1993 and 1994. Her first collaboration was in 1994 with Maxim Kachanov. Together, the pair placed fifth in the Goodwill Games 1994. It was a successful partnership. They won twice in the Finlandia Trophy, and they also participated in Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Their partnership was a success, and they were able to achieve greater results than they would have alone. However, the highlight of this partnership came when they finished 15th overall in the World Championships 1998.
